Return & Refund Policy

At GlowEra, we want you to love your purchase. This Return & Refund Policy is designed in accordance with applicable South African consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”).

By purchasing from GlowEra, you agree to the terms below.


1. General Returns

We accept returns within 7 days of delivery for eligible items that are:

  • Unused
  • In original packaging
  • In resellable condition
  • Free from damage caused after delivery
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

For hygiene and safety reasons, certain items may not qualify for return once opened or used.


2. Hygiene & Personal Care Products

The GlowEra Electric Eyelash Curler is classified as a personal care and hygiene-related product.

For health, hygiene, and safety reasons, we reserve the right to refuse returns or exchanges where:

  • The product has been used
  • The hygiene seal or packaging has been opened or tampered with
  • The product is not in its original condition
  • The item shows signs of misuse, cosmetic residue, water exposure, or accidental damage

This is in line with Section 55 and Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act regarding product safety and hygiene considerations.


3. Faulty or Defective Products

If your item arrives defective, damaged, or not functioning as intended, you must notify us within 6 months of delivery as provided under the CPA.

Where a product is confirmed to be defective due to manufacturing fault, GlowEra may, at its discretion and in accordance with South African law:

  • Repair the product
  • Replace the product
  • Refund the purchase price

We may require:

  • Photos or videos of the issue
  • Proof of purchase
  • Return of the product for inspection before approval

Normal wear and tear, misuse, improper charging, accidental damage, water damage, unauthorized modifications, or failure to follow usage instructions are not considered manufacturing defects.


4. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-returnable unless defective upon arrival:

  • Used personal care products
  • Opened hygiene products
  • Clearance or sale items
  • Gift cards
  • Items damaged through misuse or negligence

5. Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless:

  • The incorrect item was sent
  • The item arrived defective
  • The item was damaged during delivery

We recommend using a tracked courier service, as GlowEra cannot be held responsible for lost return parcels.


6. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–14 business days after the returned item has been received and inspected.

Shipping fees are non-refundable unless required by law.

GlowEra reserves the right to decline refunds where the return does not meet the conditions outlined in this policy.


7. Chargebacks & Fraud Prevention

GlowEra reserves the right to dispute chargebacks where proof of delivery, customer communication, or usage evidence indicates that the order was successfully fulfilled.

Fraudulent claims, abuse of the refund system, or intentional misuse of products may result in refusal of future service.


8. Incorrect Shipping Information

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all delivery information provided at checkout is accurate.

GlowEra is not responsible for delays, losses, or failed deliveries caused by incorrect or incomplete shipping details supplied by the customer.


9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under South African law, GlowEra shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits
  • Allergic reactions or sensitivities not caused by product defects
  • Damage resulting from misuse, improper handling, or failure to follow instructions

Our total liability shall not exceed the purchase price paid for the product.
